Welcome
Answering Mormonism is a place for thoughtful Latter-day Saints and others to explore what historic Christianity teaches about God, Scripture, Jesus Christ, and salvation—without pressure, caricature, or hostility.
Many people within the Latter-day Saint tradition have sincere questions—some simple, some complex, and some deeply personal. This site exists for you. Our goal is not to mock, misrepresent, or attack, but to provide a clear, respectful, and truthful explanation of Christian beliefs, and to invite you to examine the evidence carefully for yourself.
Why Engage Mormonism?
There is much that Christians and Latter-day Saints share:
- A belief in God
- A reverence for Jesus Christ
- A high view of Scripture
- A commitment to moral living
- A concern for family and eternal things
At the same time, there are significant and important differences—especially regarding who God is, who Jesus is, how salvation is obtained, and what sources of authority are trustworthy. These differences are not minor. They shape how we understand truth, eternity, and our relationship with God.
This site exists to explore those differences honestly and carefully, not for argument’s sake, but because truth matters.

A Respectful Invitation
We believe that truth stands up to honest examination.
If Orthodox Christianity is true, it will endure careful scrutiny.
If it is not, it should be rejected.
Our aim is not to win arguments, but to encourage thoughtful, fair, and sincere investigation. We recognize the deep convictions, relationships, and personal histories involved, and we approach these conversations with care and respect.
We invite you to explore, ask questions, and consider the evidence—openly and honestly.
